Supreme Court Order

The Supreme Court of Texas has issued  an order to:

  • Cancel the July 2020 in-person Texas Bar Exam.
  • Administer an in-person Texas Bar Exam as scheduled for September 9-10, 2020, subject to guidance from public health authorities.
  • Administer an on-line Texas Bar Exam on October 5-6, 2020.

Those who have applied for the July and September exams will have the option to take the October exam instead. Procedures for exercising this option will be posted soon.

The October on-line exam will be administered remotely. Details--including assistance for wi-fi and appropriate testing spaces, and arrangements for handwriters--will be posted soon.

July/September applicants may change their application to the February 2021 bar exam (UBE) examination without additional expense—simply message your analyst.

New applicants may apply for the September or October exam. An additional registration period for the September or October exam will be announced soon.

July applicants who have registered their laptops with ILG will be able to transfer their ILG Exam360 registration to September or October without additional cost.
