Supreme Court issues Order Amending Rules Governing Admission to the Bar of Texas
The Court notes that the amendments may be changed in response to public comments. Written comments should be sent to email@example.com. The Court requests that comments be sent by June 1, 2019.

Under the amended Rules:
- the Board will administer the first UBE in Texas in February 2021.
- the minimum passing score in Texas on the UBE will be 270.
- completion of a Texas Law Component will be required for licensure based on a UBE score, and for licensed attorneys who qualify for admission without examination.
- the Board will begin accepting, on December 1, 2019, applications for admission based on a transferred UBE score of 270 or higher.
